The Academy School Hampstead is an independent preparatory school located in Hampstead, London, for boys and girls aged between 6 and 13.
School staff approached Officeology in January 2025 after growing increasingly frustrated with their previous print supplier. Although they were working directly with a well-known manufacturer, they were experiencing poor account management, slow and inconsistent customer service and ongoing reliability issues with their photocopier.
Happily, Hampstead Academy discovered Officeology online while seeking a provider better aligned with their expectations for reliability and service.
Like many schools, Hampstead Academy relies heavily on its print infrastructure for day-to-day operations. When that infrastructure isn’t dependable, or when customer service is not as it should be, it quickly becomes a real operational problem throughout the school.
From our very first conversation, it was clear that The Academy School Hampstead valued customer service and support over simply finding a cheaper option for their photocopier. One of the deciding factors in choosing Officeology was our commitment to conducting an on-site visit before making any recommendations on a suitable device for replacement.
This site visit proved critical. The school is located within a converted house rather than a traditional school building, making access for the delivery and installation of any photocopier significantly more complex than a standard commercial environment. The visit helped to us ensure we were able to fully assess the school’s print requirements and that we had a clear plan in mind for the logistics of the machine’s delivery.
Officeology recommended a Toshiba floor-standing multifunctional device, complete with a multi-staple finisher, to provide the functionality and performance that The Academy School Hampstead needed.
While the new solution increased their monthly costs slightly, school staff never doubted that it was the right solution. The device provided improved reliability and performance compared to their previous machine, and gave staff access to the customer support and service package that Officeology takes pride in.
The logistics of getting the machine in place was far from straightforward. With the new machine needing to be delivered up a narrow flight of stairs in a residential-style property, Officeology co-ordinated both the installation and the careful removal of the existing machine with the school’s previous supplier. As a result, the new Toshiba photocopier was able to be installed efficiently with zero disruption to service.
The Academy School Hampstead now benefits from a managed print solution that truly supports their environment and workload. In its first 6 months on site, the photocopier has printed near 100,000 pages with no service issues. More importantly, they’ve gained a supplier that they trust and have confidence in to deliver the service they need.
