Looking for a printer?

Multifunctional photocopy printers

If you have a small office space or you simply don’t want your office machines to take up much room, having a multifunctional device, such as a printer, copier and scanner machine, will make a big difference and help to utilise the space you have. Nowadays, you’ll find hundreds of multifunctional copier devices that can handle multiple tasks at once, so employees can do everything they need from one machine. This will not only increase productivity, but it’ll also reduce stress since these machines are quick and easy to use.

We supply a wide range of multifunctional, all-in-one printers, copiers and scanners from leading brands, including Toshiba and Rioch. For startup companies, we recommend the Rioch IM C530FB, which is a high-speed, compact, all-in-one photocopier. For small and medium-sized businesses, the Toshiba e-STUDIO2515AC is an excellent multifunctional printer that’s still compact enough to not take up too much floor space. And, for larger businesses, we’d recommend the sturdy and reliable Ricoh IM C6500 all-in-one printer, copier and scanner to handle high-volume use confidently.

Buying vs leasing office photocopiers

It’s no secret that office equipment doesn’t come cheap. Replacing, maintaining or buying brand new office furniture from scratch can seriously impact your business finances. Of course, if you’re a startup company, you’ll be wanting to keep costs as low as possible initially. Or, if you’re a larger company needing to make some cutbacks, your office equipment will be the first thing to look at. While there are plenty of excellent quality, cost-effective photocopiers that will last you for years to come and suit your needs, if you’re not in a position to invest immediately, you may, instead, consider leasing an office photocopier.

Leasing office equipment has many benefits that will impact your business and help you to keep things running, including:

  • Freedom to invest more of your money into other resources.
  • Renting better quality equipment than you can afford outright
  • Reduced tax liability
  • Additional flexibility as it’s easier to get a new photocopier if the one you chose isn’t quite right.
  • Easier to upgrade equipment as and when you need it.

Office photocopiers frequently asked questions

When it comes to choosing a photocopier for your business there are a few factors to take into consideration. Firstly, think about the volume. How much do you think the copier will be used per month? Will you need a coloured or black and white copier? How big will the paper tray need to be? Then think about the size, if you’re a small business you probably won’t need a big, industrial-style photocopier and can get away with a more compact version. The speed of the photocopier is also something to consider if you’re looking for an efficient model for many employees to use throughout the day.

Other things to consider include the manufacturer and how well their customer service team deals with issues should you happen to run into any. Also, thinking about what, if any, additional features you’d want such as automated workflow solutions and if the copier can be controlled by a mobile device.

Photocopiers are used to make copies of physical documents, images, and other items. The document is placed on a glass window where it gets scanned before the machine prints out an identical copy. The standard office photocopier uses a dry process (not ink) called xerography – also known as laser printing. Whereas home printers tend to use ink cartridges (inkjet).

Most photocopiers, especially the kinds you find in offices or work settings, are laser printers. Modern digital photocopiers often combine a scanner and laser printer, although some might use an inkjet.

A regular printer can’t photocopy. However, most of the printers that Officeology sells are multifunction. Which means they combine a photocopier with a scanner and printer for the ideal office printing solution.

There are two types of photocopiers – mono (black and white) and colour. In order to photocopy in colour you need to make sure you have a colour photocopier. These copiers use 4 toners – Cyan (c), Magenta (m), Yellow (y) and Black (k) – sometimes referred to as CMYK printing. These photocopiers can produce a wide variety of colours on the CMYK spectrum so are ideal for any kind of printing tasks.
