The initial goal was to save staff money on their daily coffee trips, as well as reduce the use of non recyclable coffee cups. After meeting with the lendinvest team and discussing their requirements. We looked at a coffee machine with higher capacity and increased functionality, with a more premium feel. They opted for the Franke SB1200, which serves around 250 cups a day. The machine has a built-in dual milk fridge with no possibility of cross-contamination, so the office can enjoy both dairy and non-dairy drinks. The large screen makes it easy for the newest of team members to use it without getting ‘overwhelmed’ or needing guidance and the variety of coffee styles means it caters to the coffee novices to the coffee connoisseurs within the office. The Franke SB1200 also has two bean grinders which provide both caffeinated and decaffeinated coffee beans and holds hot chocolate powder, which caters to all tastes in the office. We provided them with a monthly coffee bean and hot chocolate subscription. It was customised to their taste and consumption. The machine even has an automatic cleaning function, which saves time and ensures the machine remains efficient. Their previous machine was not leased so whenever there was an issue it was a headache to resolve the issue, now having it on a lease it’s more reassuring.
We faced a few challenges that resulted in a delay in the installation which was out of our control, but it was resolved swiftly and they were very pleased with the coffee machine. On the first day alone ‘FRANK’ went through 8 pints of milk in 4 hours. To date he has made 3468 drinks (April to July), safe to say he is a hit. The coffee bean subscription saves them the hassle of having to search and order coffee for the office, making the solution seamless.
